British Masters Athletics Indoor Championships,
Lee Valley, London
12 and 13 March 2016
I had my usual busy weekend at the BMAF Indoor Championships, and there are links on this page to two galleries of photos from weekend. There was, however, one big difference for me this time: I won my first ever British Masters title!
I'd come to the Championships heading the British rankings for my age category, and unbeaten over the distance, and on the Saturday at Lee Valley, I won the 60 metres. Icing on the cake was to win in my fastest time of the year to date, too. The following day, I won bronze in the 200m, which was won by Ian Broadhurst, seen chasing me down in the photo above from Saturday's 60m.

My race was early in the day, and I missed seeing a bundle of national, European and World records being set by the hurdlers while I was busy warming up. The up side was that I did get to photograph a few more sprint races than usual.

Sunday 13th March
Some great sport! The timing of my 200m race in the late morning meant that I missed quite a lot of the action early on.
