The World Masters Indoors Athletics Championships 2008
Clermont Ferrand, France,
17 to 22 March 2008
I confess—I am very biased in favour of these Championships. I came home with a 4x200 metres relay gold medal, won a B final (60 metres), as well as achieving a place in my first ever individual World final event (200 metres). I could almost forgive the Championship organizers for some of the administrative shortcomings that made life hard for the athletes. Almost.
I hope you enjoy the pictures. The usual apologies about gaps apply. C’mon, I raced eight times during the week myself!

Tuesday 18 March
A long day. 200m quarter finals were still being run at gone 11 at night. I’d raced 60 metres that morning and won the M50 B final, and run in the 200 metres heats that afternoon. Not WMA’s best day.

Wednesday 19 March
More action from the Jean Pellez Stadium. Despite a late night race the previous day, I was on the track again at 9am and again at 6pm.

Luxury! I had no races today, so managed to cover quite a lot of events in the stadium!
