Riccione, Italy, 4 to 15 September
I had a great time in Riccione. It was hard work, as I raced on four of the days, and on some others I was on my feet for up to 12 hours taking photographs.
I’m pleased to say that I came away with a gold medal from the M50 sprint relay, in which I ran the lead-off leg, and also a personal best 200 metres time as a Master, set when winning my heat.
My race commitments, and the fact that the championships were spread over three stadiums linked by erratic and overcrowded buses, account for the gaps in my photographic coverage of the championships. No one person could have covered everything! I came home with more than 4,000 photos, and have posted a representative sample here on the web site.
